My name is Kate. I’m 18 years old.

I’m the kind of person who is still searching for herself but already knows she doesn’t want to live “just however it goes.” I love the morning light when the city is just waking up, and long playlists in my headphones that let me think about the future. I may seem calm and reserved, but inside my head there’s always a million thoughts, ideas, and dreams.

I’m learning to accept myself — with all my quirks, sudden mood swings, and random bursts of inspiration at three in the morning. I enjoy discovering new things: whether it’s languages, psychology, or simply people’s stories. I believe every person is their own universe, and I love trying to understand them like books.

My friends say I’m reliable. If I promise something, I’ll do it. If I love, I love sincerely. Being genuine matters a lot to me, because I can sense insincerity almost immediately. I can be stubborn, especially when it comes to my principles, but I’m learning to listen to others.

At 18, the world feels both huge and a little intimidating. Ahead of me are choices about my career, independence, and my first serious decisions. Sometimes I’m afraid of making mistakes, but I understand that mistakes are part of the journey too.

I want to travel. I want to wake up in a different city one day and feel like I can do anything. I want to do something meaningful, not just something that makes money. I want to keep my lightness and not lose my faith in people.
